Hi all,

Does anyone spary down there drives with water displacment or lubricant spary like CRC - Inox - Wd40 ex? I fish a lot of salt water and after a fresh water rinse I'm always tempted to do this as an extra guard against corrosion.

Would anyone advise agianst this for any reason?

Cheers

Taz

Hello and welcome to the forum. I only use water and sometimes a soft brush with soap. Ive had good results and protection of my reels using Salt-Away http://www.saltawayp...cationsPage.htmWhich is biodegradable and safe for the environment and certainly would work for areas like the crank covers, pedals and bolts.
