Any idea when the new 12' propels will be available?
Contacted local dealer and they don't know.
At the least, specs, colors, pre-order, etc?
Just sold my Outback and now patiently waiting my new ride!

Hello, we've got new threads on the Titan and Manta Ray. Specs on the Titan are available but none concrete on the Manta Ray.

Both are due out in Spring 2017.

Colors will be the same as current.

From sister brand Hurricane kayaks will be a thermaformed Slayer like propel, may be a different name, but somewhat similar. Not much info is available yet.

What has been released to the retailers now is that the thermoformed Propels will be branded both Hurricane Skimmer Propel and Native Slayer Propel LT. The boats look great and weigh approximately 55lbs (without the seat and propel unit) which is pretty light for a 12' boat. The boat performs well on the water; the lighter more rigid thermoformed boats respond much better than heavier rotomolded plastic boats.   The mold for this boat is in house already at Hurricane and the kayaks will be ready to ship late Sept or early Oct. The retail price will be $2699. Supposedly the Slayer will be geared more for fishing with the tracks, etc. on it and the Skimmer will be stripped and geared for the recreation market; so expect a slight price difference between the 2 boats.
