I just picked up Magic 14.5 that I believe is a 2008 for the kids to use on a couple local lakes. Does anyone have pics of the inside deck area without seats. Mine has a raised area midway in boat. Just wondering if this is supposed to be there or if I have some type of separation thing going on. Thanks in advance D.L.

Some of them did what you describe...many got small cracks at the ends of the aluminum rails at the rivet points. One reason the hull was dropped from their line. The boat itself was a good design and is a great paddling boat....but the cracks and inner hull warpage was a problem.

So the boat should still be safe? I have patched a couple small cracks so those wont be a problem and the bottom of the hull is still nice and flat with no warpage. Just let the kids use it till they wear it out?

It'll be fine. Mine did that but I assumed it was my 300lbs of ballast that caused that to happen. That's a good kayak. I'm one of the sentimental ones that misses it.
